Wave Moments

What part do I need for my yamaha wave venture??

We recently replaced the exhause hose on our 1995 ish yamaha wave venture.. moments after replacing it, the new one split also...what could be the problem, I'm thinking either the water is not getting cooled, or something in the muffle could be clogged???
